Welcome to my parenting journey
I think it’s safe to say that most parents want the best for their child and are willing to give almost everything for them. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
I’m a second-generation Asian American who grew up watching my immigrant family work tirelessly to build a better life—for themselves and us, their children. They showed me what it means to "give it all," even when they didn’t have much to give. Now, as a parent myself, I find myself wanting to do the same: to give my best—with what’s available—for both my child and myself.
Before becoming a parent, I assumed it would come naturally—something you just knew how to do. But the truth? It doesn’t always work that way.
I didn’t become the doctor or lawyer my parents hoped for, but I did dive deep into a field that spoke to me: infant and early childhood mental health. And still, despite my education and training, parenting has been a rollercoaster of highs, lows, and constant questions like:
How do I be an empathetic parent?
How do I set my child up for success?
Where do I start?
This blog is where I’ll share the resources, tools, and lessons that have helped (and are still helping) me navigate parenthood. Whether you're a new parent, a seasoned one, or simply curious, I hope my journey resonates with you and offers some guidance along the way.
Thanks for being here—let’s figure this out together.
